Calumet Civil Contractors, Inc. construction services include asphalt paving, stone base & shoulder placement, earthwork, sewer and underground utility installation, and concrete construction.

Responsibilities
• Efficiently performing all stages of an estimate including project selection, estimate organization, take-off, pricing, review and closeout.
• Analyzing plans and specifications and evaluating project work scopes.
• Determining the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities and labor for projects.
• Working with management to determine overall project strategy.
• Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might affect job cost.
• Conducting site visits, attending pre-bid meetings and bid delivery.
• Working with project management, engineers and clients to align estimates with project goals.
• Provide guidance and training to junior estimators.
Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and / or Construction Management preferred and / or five (5) to ten (10) years of experience as an estimator in construction field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / Access / Project).
• Proficiency with Heavy Bid / Heavy Job (HCSS), Planswift and Agtek helpful.
• Exceptional time management, muti-tasking, organizational and communication skills.
• Able to work as a team and prioritize team success.
